Mega yachts

An early iconic mega yacht project was the restoration of the 1931 built, 135m MY “Savarona” in 1991.

At 150m long, his 92/94 mega yacht project, for a Middle East Head of State, which at that time was the largest yacht ever, and his current interior design work on 115m+ yachts in yards around the world is relevant to his work for Raffles, where he is also involved with its exterior styling.

DSD recently completed (2006) the private yacht “Laurel” at Delta Marine in Washington State. Laurel is the largest yacht, at 72m (240ft) built in North America since 1931. Uniquely “Laurel” is also the largest yacht yet built with a steel hull and composite superstructure, so similar in many respects to Raffles.

To put DSD experience in some perspective the overall yacht length created now exceeds 3,600m (12,000ft)
